From June to October, Bariloche is one of the greatest tourist attractions in the country, offering visitors the chance to practise skiing, snowboarding, Nordic skiing, heli-skiing, sleigh and quad rides.
But what really makes special this resort is their incredible offer of activities for kids, teenagers and families.
Recreational activities are not only associated to Ski or the winter season. The Llao Llao Hotel boasts a unique infrastructure to provide all kinds of activities depending on the season and with an integrative approach for the whole family.
Kids from3 to 12 can enjoy the Nahuelito’s club with different educational and sport activities, both indoor and outdoor and all free of charge: pool games, canoeing, forest games, workshops, cooking and crafts.
Every day in the Nahuelito’s Kids Club activities include water games, rappeling, canoping, puppets and crafts, together with a tasty snack in the afternoon. Kids even have their own Spa carefully designed by specialists for children from 4 to 12 years old.

]]>This family friendly center was launched in 2011 and welcomes visitors from all ages. It is managed by a team of elephant specialists that have been working towards the protection of elephants in Laos for over a decade, running welfare, vet care, breeding and mahouts training programmes.
You can book and join the ECC for an overnight stay and discover their center and elephants. You can stay one night at a private bamboo bungalow and enjoy the view on the majestic lake surrounded by tropical forest. You can also stay for a week and volunteer as part of the Elephant Conservation team! It will give you a more in-depth insight into what it takes to look after elephants.
The ECC has a special Kids in Conservation program. They partnership with several non-governmental organisations (Community Learning International, Eco-Sys Action…), and the Elephant Conservation Center promotes literacy within schools in rural Sayaboury province in northern Laos. They encourage literacy within schoolchildren by distributing Lao language resources and bringing students up close with the endangered Asian Elephant.
They also have some other wonderful programs like the Elephant nursery and the Baby Bonus program, and you can also sponsor an elephant.
You can visit their website for more information on how to contribute to the conservation of Asia’s most iconic species, and watch this video about the extraordinary and unique experience of visiting this center.
This Center is the perfect hideaway from mass tourism routes and a place where your visit can make a difference.

]]>My beloved mother was from this region in the north of Spain and everytime we visit Asturias we feel she is still with us.
The landscapes are so, so beautiful… that it is difficult to choose some pics for this post.
There are hundreds of small villages and cities worth visiting.
Here is a short list of some of our favorites: Lastres (above), Oviedo, Gijón, Cudillero, Covadonga, Llanes, Ribadesella, Taramundi, Luarca, Cangas de Onís…
I could go on and on.
We do not like crowded beaches so we try to travel to Asturias in July (specially during weekdays) when we have this paradise of blue & green just for us.
They say that “if you visit Asturias, you stay“.
P.S. For more information, please visit the oficial site for visiting Asturias. You will not regret it!

It was a special day and the kids enjoyed it so much, that we decided to repeat this same birthday theme for his 6th Anniversary too.
Just a few kilometers away from Madrid there are many farms, and we choose Granja El Álamo for both celebrations www.granjaelalamo.es
