It was a short business trip and I was fascinated by the beauty of the landscape, the punctuality of the trains  ( I took 6 trains in just 2 days!) and by how kid-friendly and safe Switzerland is.

I think it is a wonderful family destination and it is already in our list of future places to visit.

It seems to be an incredible holiday destination not only in the winter (Davos is a metropolis for skiing and snowboarding fans from all over the world) but also in the summer for hiking, sailing, biking and swimming.

My cell photos do not do justice to the extraordinary beauty of Switzerland.

One of the highlights is The Schatzalp (1861m), which  inspired the German author Thomas Mann to write his novel “The Magic Mountain”. 

I really hope I can return soon to Davos with my family and truly get to know the area better.

It is the largest model railway in the world, and we all know how much kids love trains.

Conveniently located in the Speicherstadt area, the historical warehouse district in the heart of Hamburg, it is just 10 minutes walking from the city center.

Visiting Miniatur Wunderland was really fun and interactive. It is truly a miniature world, full of incredible details.

My kids loved the exhibition dedicated to Hamburg’s airport and the Imtech Arena (Hamburg’s soccer stadium).

I loved the section dedicated to Scandinavia and the “mini-version” of the  new Hamburg Philharmonie.

It was a great advice to book our tickets online.
