This is a heart-warming story of friendship from one of France’s most highly respected illustrators and cartoonist:  Serge Bloch (born 1956). His work has appeared in major advertising campaigns and in publications including the New York Times, Time, and the Washington Post. Best known for illustrating the world-famous Max & Lilie series of children’s books, he shares his time between New York and Paris.

 

One day a small boy was taking a walk. On his way he found a little line lying on the ground. He picked it up and put it in his pocket. And forgot about it. But you know what? The little line came to life!

Little by little, the line and a boy get to know each other.

As their confidence in one another grows, the little line transforms into a hat, a bike, a ball, a bird and more! The two become inseparable, and wander through life together, having fantastic adventures during the day and curling up to sleep together during the night.
