Meninas Madrid Gallery is a public art exhibit, conceived by artist Antonio Azzato, that will be featured in Madrid until the end of June.

“Las Meninas” is considered one of the most famous and largest paintings by the outstanding Baroque Spanish painter Diego Velázquez. This oil painting from 1656 hangs in the Prado Museum. A must see if you visit Madrid!

Over 80 sculptures of “Meninas”, that re-interpret the characters of this painting- have been decorated by several Spanish artists and are displayed throughout the city center.

These “Meninas” are a symbol of the plural character of Madrid, a vibrant and cosmopolitan city.
