ARCHITECTURE FOR KIDS: NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE
Our cousins Marta and Carlos surprised us with a great gift for our kids: CubicFun Neuschwanstein Castle (part of their World’s Great Architecture Collection) This 3d construction kit is a replica of the Neuschwanstein castle located in Bavaria (Germany) .
Today Neuschwanstein is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. Every year, 1.4 million people visit “the castle of the fairy-tale king”.
On our last trip to Bavaria, we visited Munich and Elmau, but regrettably we had no time to visit this idyllic castle, so this model was a great way to introduce our kids to the fascinating architecture of this region.
Each of the 121 puzzle pieces is numbered on the enclosed panels for easy assembly.
My sons really enjoyed putting it together as it requires no gluing or scissors.
Great model and large size ( the structure measures 44cm long by 19 cm wide by 33 cm tall). I highly recommend it!
If you plan to visit this castle in Southern Germany, don’t miss the useful travel guide by Visit Bavaria, and our following posts about travelling to Bavaria with kids:
